RaPT Showcase

"Is Spring On The Horizon?"

Monday 20th January, 18:45 - 20:00

The Parrswood Inn

Come and see what we do, in an informal open-rehearsal style showcase.

Based in the ideas of Playback Theatre (a form of Psycho-drama), we listen to and re-enact true stories, challenges or dilemmas which hold personal significance to audience members. RaPT embraces the rich diversity of people’s backgrounds and perspectives, seeking to give voice to and respond to your voiced, half voiced or unvoiced stories. We enact, mirror or perhaps interpret moments and memories, often finding universal themes in our shared humanity, affirming and honouring them.

We welcome you to witness and collaborate in this reciprocal, co-created performance, which promises to move, intrigue and inspire you.

We'll be inviting stories from our audience to explore in improvised playback. There is no obligation to share, and no audience participation onstage.

RaPT at the Carlton

"Places and faces:

stories from the Carlton and beyond"

Monday 17th February, 20:00

The Carlton Club

Real and Present Theatre, RaPT present to you a completely improvised show made-up of your true stories! The theme for the show will be: ‘Places and faces: stories from the Carlton and beyond’. RaPT, based on playback theatre, uses a form of improvised psycho-dramatic theatre in which players listen to and replay true stories from the audience. We aim to find the Extraordinary within the ordinary, and the Universal within the individual. We would love to hear your stories of people and places, from the Carlton and beyond, as we come together in this vibrant and historic community building, to witness, explore and reimagine the stories, the faces and places that bind us together.

We'll be inviting stories from our audience to explore in improvised playback. There is no obligation to share, and no audience participation onstage.
